![]() Im going to enjoy my weekend, deer hunting season starts this weekend where I live and a lot of people will be doing that. I agree it sucks to see someone have the game already and I/you dont, but its not that big of a deal. They literally dont have to pay anything besides give the game to a few people a few days early, and reap the rewards of also having a hyper targeted audience to people that are interested in the game. Advertising is important and streamers are the cheapest most effective way to advertise. and streamers would still get it before you no matter how much you paid. Day one is day one no matter how much you pay. In the case of Farming Simulator it might mean if i pay less I would have to wait until next Friday. If a company does offer it, it just makes the game release for you on one day, and every one else has to wait longer. Paid early access wont change the day the game releases. It may have MOST things, and not seem much different but it wont technically be the same as what you and I get. ![]() Streamers get an early access version, its most likely is missing the day one patch and does not include all fixes and content that will be available next week. I'm not going to buy it again just because someone is playing it already. Releasing the game to the people that already bought it won't change that. With the intent of selling the game to more people. The streamers are literally free advertising. Kind of tough to build up hype for the upcoming launch with all this pre-release footage if it's not pre-release and the launch already happened. It also impacts the marketing because this is also meant to build up hype for the launch. If the game is already released then that dilutes that both with people just playing the game and the fact that far more streamers are now showing it off because the game is already out. That benefit is in exchange for the hype/marketing they provide by showing live gameplay footage to their built up audience. They get the game before everyone else which in turns drives new people who are interested in the game or want to see more before launch to the streamers channel helping boost their viewer count and potentially leading to new consistent viewers and revenue for the streamer. To start with the early access is one of the benefits for the streamers. Originally posted by CeliriaRose:Because that undermines the basis of the streamers early access for marketing purposes.
